Ihwa-dong

December 29, 2019

Ihwa-dong is popular place to visit in Seoul as this is where the Ihwa Mural Village can be found. It is on the outskirt of the city and the village is on top of the hill. Hence, you'll have lots of stairs to climb but the view on top is worth-it. Aside from the street paintings, this district is popular for being a common film location of K-dramas.

The street paintings were just along the path but some of them can be found on tight alleys. We came there early afternoon and we were lucky that the place was not that crowded yet. After half an hour, the place became totally crowded and was difficult to take some photos.

Since we had our baby with us, we took a taxi from our hotel. It was not that far though and we thought it would be comfortable for us rather than taking a bus or a train. We learned earlier that it was difficult to bring a stroller so we left it back in the hotel and we were glad we did it. There were plenty of stairs and steep alleys. Carrying our baby was also difficult and tiring so we did not manage to go to other popular street paintings. Beside, what we saw there were all absolutely worth-it.

There is one rooftop coffee shop we wanted to visit there unfortunately, it was close that time. This place is a must visit when in Seoul for those who love street paintings and arts.
