Beautiful Pearl Farm
October 15, 2017When I think of a great escape from a bustling city or just a stressful week of work, I think of a place with pristine white sand beach, relaxing view, cozy room and most importantly, delicious food. Sounds perfect right? Well, I have something to share.
My wife and I had a busy week last August and I planned of
going out somewhere special to relax and celebrate her birthday. My goal in
finding a resort was simple. Near where I live – Davao City, white sand beach,
and comfortable rooms. After searching some resorts, Pearl Farm in Garden City
of Samal came to my attention. I told my wife about it and she gave a thumbs
up!
We went to their reservation office in Abreeza Mall and
booked the Samal House for one night. The fee included roundtrip boat transfer
from Pearl Farm Beach Marina Wharf in Lanang, buffet breakfast and
complimentary dinner for Davao City residents - what a treat right?
With full of excitement we headed to the wharf and arrived
an hour before the earliest boat transfer which is 10 am. We were, I guess,
around 30 on that boat. The boat ride that time was a bit rough because of westerly
wind or what we call Hanging Habagat. Nevertheless, after about 45 minutes we
arrived safely and were welcomed warmly with cold drinks, warm towels and
traditional music.
I personally felt like a VIP.
Before heading to the reception area we were briefed first
in the Parola for the location of our accommodation and other facilities in the
resort. This resort really knows how to
make an impression. Pristine beach, relaxing ambiance and very accommodating
crew.

We had lunch in their restaurant which I thought has an impressive architecture. The menu was diverse and the price reasonable. We went back to our room for a nap before exploring more of this resort.
For the rest of the afternoon, we explored more of the
resort. Pools and cottages were
just inviting. We stayed in one of the beach cottages and had some fresh fruit
juices as the sun set. You know that
#Blessed feeling? Yes, that was it!
Before having our dinner, we waited for the blue hour-sunset
and snapped some photos as we are both interested in landscape/blue hour/night
photography, or whatever it's label is. The Parola is iconic and absolutely stunning
during night time.
They offered a complimentary dinner for us and it
was really sumptuous. Fresh fruits were on the buffet as well. Since it was Kharen’s
birthday, she was surprised by the crew with a serenade and of course a cake.
Lovely treat! We ended our night watching the night sky from our cottage as the
sound of the waves lullabied us to sleep.
We woke up early in the morning to catch the sunrise. We
dipped in the beach and in the infinity pool. Right after that, we had buffet breakfast
in the restaurant.
So, if you are planning to spend an extra special day with
your loved ones, make it happen and stay in Pearl Farm Beach Resort. Absolutely,
a great experience!
